Crossing the Thames Estuary aboard Rhoda Rose

First Cruise aboard Nutmeg

No.3 Launch!

No.2 Sea Trial

Short film recording the first ‘proper’ sail aboard Lady Jayne.

The first filming aboard Lady Jayne.  Not much of a film, just a record of the delivery trip really.

The video of our 2012 Medway Cruise with the Westerly Owners Association.  Fantastic trip, despite variable winds.

Our first cruise since moving to Maldon. 50 odd miles non stop, OK not up to Chay Blythe but not bad for a fat blind geography teacher and his idiot son!

A Winters Tale, a short film about our latest trip to West Mersea.  A fantastic day out and a warm welcome at WMYC.  I am going to have to join that club at this rate.

Well, here it is, the latest West Mersea Cruise video. I have managed to sail to West Mersea for the past three years. Double tide, it makes for a great day out. This year we did the trip on our own, having sailed in company previously. Hope you like it.

I see no ships. If it was good enough for Nelson…
A short video that is an attempt to answer a question I am often asked…

A compilation video that I hope explains why we keep our boat on the River Blackwater here in darkest Essex!

Loved seeing your shots of the Colne, Blackwater and Buxey area. I had forgotten what really muddy water looked like! Very well done, and very nostalgic seeing some places I cruised my Wayfarer (some time ago now).

Thanks for sharing your memories. Roger W, now in New Zealand.

Thanks Roger, don’t forget the shallow water, silly tides and the jet skis that appear like midges on sunny weekends though. Bet there are some great sailing spots ‘down south’ too.

I thought my eyesight was bad until I watched your videos. You have given me more than enough encouragement to keep sailing.
    Thank you.
